a meeting of the Trust on 8th July 2025 a resolution was made to wind up the Trust; any net assets of the Trust upon winding  up be passed on to the West Coast Penguin Trust and this was ratified at a meeting on 19th August 2025.  Since then we have continued our work to complete a rest area project we have been working on in the environs of the Westland Wilderness Trail . This did involve purchasing signage, some plants, spray, crusher dust and borders for the cycle entranceway etc. The project was officially opened on 5th June 2026 and has been very well received by the Community and cycling visitors. During the financial year ended 31st March 26 we purchased some traps and bait to allow our pest control trappers and blue penguin observers, who are working now under the umbrella of the West Coast Penguin Trust ,to be fully supplied going forward.
