Rakiura Trust is a fledgling organisation.  \r\n\r\nOur first year activities have focussed on establishing the charity, and seeking legal advice on courses of actions available to us.  $19,655 has been spent on legal fees. \r\n\r\nIn order to raise awareness and generate support, the Trust has created posters, stickers and distributed them locally and within New Zealand. The cost of printing these was approx. $10602.\r\n\r\nAdditionally in order to provide factual information to our community - we enlisted the volunteer help of a scientist and technical advisor to attend some of our meetings.  They offered their services free of charge, however, the Trust covered their flight and accommodation expenses totalling $4430 and $877 respectively. \r\n\r\nThis information is shared to allow the public to understand how monies have been spent during this financial year.
