the past financial year, Casting for Recovery North Island has had limited outward activity as the trust has been engaged in a period of reform and re-establishment.  COVID-19 and a change in governance required a pause in operations to ensure the trust had the right structures, policies, and processes in place to support sustainable growth into the future.  This period has been deliberately used to strengthen governance practices, rebuild organisational capacity, and re-engage with health professionals, community partners, and volunteers. Trustees have focused on clarifying responsibilities, reviewing compliance obligations, and setting up a solid platform for the delivery of retreats in the years ahead. While this meant programme activity was necessarily reduced, these efforts have been essential to securing the long-term stability and impact of the trust.
