the last financial year we were fortunate to receive grants from Lotteries and the Dunedin City Council  to assist with wages. We received a grant from COG's to allow us to give some of our wonderful volunteers vouchers to thank them for providing transport for our clients and to hold a special annual thankyou afternoon tea. This grant is also used to help pay for power (for heating). We also received a grant from the Otago Hospital Board Trust to help with rent. Our clients pay a fee to attend our service, based on what they can afford to pay. This income does not cover our running costs. Our expenses have increased in the last year due to increases in rent and catering, wages for staff have not been increased.
