This investment was completed by 30 June 2025 and is expected to provide better returns than term deposits, which are currently low-yielding.\r\nHigher returns will allow the Trust to provide more support to our chosen charities—Auckland Westpac Rescue Helicopter Trust and Bethells Beach Surf Lifesaving Club Inc (BBSLC)—both of which have been financially impacted by recent economic challenges. The trustees remain committed to ongoing support, in line with the wishes of the late Batson family, the Trust’s original founders.\r\nExtra funds were provided to both charities this year. BBSLC is still recovering from flood damage and working with the Council on new premises. Westpac Rescue Helicopter has relocated to Ardmore, with Trust support for funding.
